Knowing What Your Skin Needs

What does your skin need? Three letters… TLC.

Less is More

If your lawn was only 2 square yards, just how many chemicals and how much equipment do you think you’d need to care for it. Next to nothing. The ordinary individual has exposed skin totaling only 2 square yards. Yet our medicine cabinets are full of creams and lotions; exfoliates and oils; cleansers and masks; the list goes on and on. In truth, you may be doing more damage to your skin than helping it with all of those skin care products. Two or three choice products is really all that you require on a daily basis.

Here’s Your Check Off List

Empty out your cabinets and replace your skin care products with the following: sunscreen is number one on your list, don’t even dream about going outside without it; a soap free cleanser used with mildly warm water is all you need with which to clean your skin daily.

Something you don’t find in your medicine cabinet can be taken orally: antioxidants in fruits and seafood (omegas 6 and 3 are in some seafoods, too) as well as vitamins C and E in supplements or food; and don’t forget to hydrate on the inside as well as on the outside. Drink water!
